2014 GAME: BLADE RUNNER
Transporting and Assembling Wind Turbines
The Blade Runner competition is based on the challenges of transporting and assembling wind turbines. This year’s competition also takes in to account the logistical and enviromental challenges associated with the transport and assembling of wind turbines. In order to tranport comonents the robot must obtain an OSOW (oversize, overweight) permit and also open the gates and cross the bridge, or cross the damaged road. While completing its tasks the robot must also avoid damage to the endangered prairie chickens (Prairie Chicken Enviroments) located on the field by relocating them to a safe zone.
